Job Description
Embark on a rewarding career in the food production industry as a Quality Control Assistant, based in Hudson, NY. This role is integral to upholding the stringent standards of food safety and quality within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily audits to ensure adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Maintain comprehensive logs of production processes, including pre-operation checks, cooking, cooling, and packaging.
Calibrate and document thermometer performance, ensuring annual certification of devices.
Provide detailed reports to upper management on quality control efforts and findings.
Establish and maintain testing standards to align with industry and organizational requirements.
Inspect and record the receiving process to uphold temperature and quality standards for all incoming materials.
Conduct regular cleanliness inspections of production and storage facilities.
Facilitate daily operations with a focus on food safety protocols.
Lead the implementation of the HACCP Plan and manage food safety and defense initiatives.
Develop and execute quality programs to enhance compliance with safety standards.
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies such as USDA and FDA.
Conduct quality control audits and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to integrate quality control processes.
Manage and update yearly vendor documentation requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
~3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Assurance role within food manufacturing.
~ HACCP Certification is mandatory.
~ Strong understanding of cGMP and PPE standards.
~ Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
~ Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Compensation:
Competitive salary range: $50,000 to $65,000 per year.
