Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial strategy, planning, and management of Ohio Gratings. The CFO provides financial leadership and insight to ensure sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term profitability. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and compliance while working collaboratively across departments to drive strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy and performance to maintain a high-performing finance organization that supports Ohio Gratings' vision and mission.
  • Partner with operations and regional leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term financial and operational plans that drive sustainable growth.
  • Establish key performance metrics to measure and enhance business performance, with a focus on continuous improvement and solution-driven decision-making.
  • Drive financial planning and analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals, market opportunities, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and transparency, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and risk management.
  • Lead and oversee the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, optimize financial resources, and drive profitability.
  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and compliance with U.S. regulations, including audits, and tax obligations.
  • Provide strong leadership in talent development, mentoring a high-performing finance team to meet both current and future business needs.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring manufacturing costs, analyzing financial data, and identifying areas for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing insights on financial trends, risk assessment, and long-term financial planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by CEO.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior business unit financial leadership role.
  • Hands-on leader with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing financial analysis with operational execution.
  • Proven ability to drive profitability, manage financial risk, and optimize capital investments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience leading financial transformation initiatives and implementing new financial systems.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to integrity, excellence, and collaboration in alignment with Ohio Gratings’ core values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
